The sign up process with FreeScoresAndMore is simple and takes only 2 minutes. Their website is user friendly and straightforward. To start, simply click on the homepage where it says "Click Here to Start" to begin your registration. You will be directed to a page where you will be asked to fill out your preliminary information such as your name, address, and phone number. You will also be asked for your social security and phone number.
For security purposes, you will then be required to verify your identity by completing a short quiz of multiple choice questions that only you will know the answers to. FreeScoresAndMore is committed to your privacy and secuirty, so to ensure the safety of their website they employ an industry standard 129-bit SSL encryption.
If you're seeking to simply view your credit report and scores, you can do so with their 14-day free trial. If you wish to continue your subscription with their service, you can do so at the highly affordable price of $18.99 per month.
In addition to your monthly 3 bureau credit score, FreeScoresAndMore provides full comprehensive credit monitoring services including daily monitoring alerts, a credit information hotline, and identity theft support services. There is also an excellent credit simulator to help you understand your score and financial behavior better. Using this tool you can see how specific changes can affect your scores. All these features are available to help ensure you maintain a good credit score, or improve it if needed.
Their credit-monitoring feature will track and notify you immediately if there are any changes to your account, hard inquiries to your credit report, or if information potentially harmful to your score is introduced or detected.
The only downside to FreeScoresAndMore is that when calculating your score, they do not use your FICO score, but your CreditXpert® score. The CreditXpert® score is an educational score calculated by using credit information from all three bureaus, but not FICO. Your CreditXpert® score is not as reliable as your FICO score as it utilizes a score range of 350 to 850, while FICO uses a range of 300 to 850. Lenders usually do not take your CreditXpert® score into consideration when evaluating you for approval.
In order to contact customer care with FreeScoresAndMore you must register for their service. Once a member, you can access their comprehensive FAQ section replete with tons of information regarding your credit score. You can also easily contact a customer service representative via email or their toll-free number.
Your credit scores are provided by CreditXpert, Inc. and indicate your relative credit risk level for educational purposes. They may vary between bureaus and are not the scores used by lenders. Your scores may not be identical or similar to scores you receive directly from credit agencies or other sources.
Daily monitoring will notify you of certain new inquiries and derogatory information, accounts, public records, or change of address that have been added to your credit reports as reported by one of the major credit reporting agencies. If no information has been added or changed, then you will receive a monthly notification stating that no information has changed within their credit file.
